One of the highlights of being in this workshop was getting to see a true professional at work. Dr Printer demonstrated very clearly how he successfully puts theory into practise to motivate students (or in this case – us as participants). Being able to simultaneously participate in and observe a lesson live, unpacking it as it happens, was really valuable in helping me to understand how to implement particular techniques in my own classroom. Thank you for sharing your passion and expertise with us!

Considering this was a 5 hour PD, Liam’s presentation got me in ‘flow’ and the time just vanished! Liam’s presentation style is personal, open, approachable and encouraging. He is a storyteller at the core and this made processing the content easy and enjoyable. His content is thoroughly grounded in research and the structure and pace of the sessions was perfect. I would thoroughly recommend both Liam’s Motivated Classroom podcast, and any of his professional training sessions.

The workshop was outstanding, thank you Dr. Printer for walking us through your TPRS system as you allow us to interact and practice along with you. I appreciate the ability to experience language acquisition as a student while interweaving opportunities for us to practice being a teacher, followed up with your honest feedback, advice, and your personal stories of self experiences as a beginner TPRS teacher.

Missy, Japanese Teacher, USA.

This workshop was amazing! It was really motivating and fun. I did not realize that time was passing by so quickly. The whole group stayed focused from 9 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening, everyone got engaged, participated, had a fun time and did not get bored by repeating, asking and telling the story, “our” story again and again. Liam told us to go back to our classes and just give it a try! I definitely will, because I saw that TPRS really works. It will just take some time and a lot of practice. Liam Printer you are a passionate, talented and motivating teacher and presenter. Thank you very much!

“I think it was all great, very interesting and engaging. I am looking forward to trying it out in my class. I really like your follow up email – it maintains motivation after the conference and allows me to try new things in class. I also really liked that you presented that TPRS is evidence-backed.”

Ciara, Spanish teacher, Dublin, Ireland.

“An excellent presentation, with a lot of energy and excitement on behalf of the presenter which of course was transmitted to the audience!”

Venie, EFL/ESL teacher, American Community School of Athens, Greece.

“I absolutely loved your presentations! It’s so nice to get so many great ideas and such a buzz from a CPD event. I feel really motivated going back into class today and even tried a tiny slice of these techniques with 2nd years and they loved it! What’s so nice is that all of this just feels so right, it’s intuitive. Muchas gracias.”

Bernie, Spanish teacher, Ireland.cc

We so enjoyed your talk on Saturday – all of our team agreed that you set such a wonderful atmosphere in the Zoom room, and helped create a lovely community feel straight from the get go, which made it an absolute pleasure to host you as our keynote speaker. All the comments we’ve had on social media and in several emails have been speaking very highly of your presentation and they came away with a plethora of ideas and inspiration. Thank you so much. Thank you so much again for all of your hard work preparing and delivering this session for our Deutschlehrertag. There is a very motivated community of German teachers out there after your talk! Los geht’s!

Lucy, Organiser of German Teacher’s Day for The Goethe-Institute, London.

”Being in the student shoes (Spanish was unknown to me), using all kind of strategies and visual support, actively participating in all stages of the exercises made it even more powerful.”

Carine, French teacher, The International School of Brussels, Belgium.

“I loved the contents of both presentations, they were easy to follow and most of all they were fun & useful.”

Ana, Spanish teacher, Spain.

Conferences

Liam is an exceptionally engaging and inspiring workshop leader. He was listening to people’s needs and requests during the workshop which indicated his high level of awareness from the beginning until the end. I wish more teachers like Liam existed. Oh yes, and he was very funny and made us all feel welcomed. Lucky students at his schools that they can ‘learn with’ someone as compassionate about teaching as Liam is.

Timea, SEN-CO teacher, UK.

“All was great! I learned so much today. It was worth every penny.”

Luisa, Spanish teacher, Spain.

This was a brilliant session that was full of techniques that participants could transfer to the classroom immediately in a variety of ways. The way the session was run brought learning alive which is vital for our students. Liam was full of life throughout the whole day and the ‘hands on’ approach meant that participants could practice techniques and become familiar with them. The results and outcome of the technique were clearly visible! Thank you for an inspirational session that I would recommended everyone to attend.

Judith, Learning Support and EAL teacher, The International School of Geneva, Switzerland.

Everything was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed not only the content but the structure of the workshop and the interactions between the group and Liam. Definitely one of the best workshops I have ever attended. I have struggled at how to include stories in my novice groups, and TPRS has flipped everything I thought I needed or should do on its head and provided me with a totally different perspective to engage the students and help them feel confident in their language learning. I can’t wait to fully incorporate TPRS into my regular teaching practice!

Joanna, French teacher, The International School of Luxembourg.

“The unfolding of the workshop was a joyful, engaging process.
Liam is lively, comical and passionate in his storytelling. Form and function work hand in hand in this approach and the results are natural, practical language. Thank you for such a fantastic day, Liam!”

Tami, EAL Teacher, London, UK.
